Buying Handmade Benefits Local Small Businesses
Buyers of handcrafted items not only experience the joy of giving a unique gift to their object of their affection, they are also helping local small businesses.
The Seattle area is home to thousands of artists and craftspeople who pour equal parts love and skill into their chosen form of creative expression. And as homeowners, parents, volunteers and consumers, they also are an important part of our local economy.
They make and spend money, supporting the companies that employ their fellow Seattleites. And in light of recent economic events, it has never been more important to support the small businesses in our community.
